War, fleeing one's home country and the lack of a settled life are difficult for all
people, without exception, but it is particularly difficult for people with various
illnesses, limited mobility or lacking independence for other reasons. This
category also includes families raising children with special needs, including
those with mental disabilities.

Volunteers from the Sunflower Care group work to find evacuation transport,
temporary accommodation and essential household items, taking into account
the special needs of the evacuated families.
"We really want to ensure that children, teenagers and adults with disabilities,
chronic illnesses and mental disabilities and their parents do not become an
excluded and marginalised group. We want them to have access to inclusive
structures of medicine, care, education, and leisure.

Only together, based on the needs of people with disabilities, chronic illnesses,
mental disabilities and people who care for them, can we create an accessible
support structure".
