Online Physics School for Ukrainian Pupils

Support is needed for Ukrainian teachers and pupils caught up in the occupation or forced to leave their towns

The war has virtually shut down the Ukrainian education system in some parts of the country. Teachers have been left without jobs and children without education.

This online school is designed for students in grades 8–11 who wish to continue studying physics with the best teachers from the affected regions. The teachers from the Physics and Technology Institute in Kherson and the Kharkiv Physics and Mathematics Lyceum No 27 involved in this project have been preparing their pupils for international Olympiads and entering top technical universities around the world for the last few decades.

The school began on July 1, 2022, and will run for six months, until January 1, 2023. Organisers of the school are appealing for support so that teachers can be paid for their work and children can enjoy the high standard of education they were deprived of because of the war.
