A Glance from France at the Political Situation in Russia
The French association Russie-Libertés was created to support Russian civil society
The Russie-Libertés Association brings together former Russians living in France. The association organizes protests against Russian authoritarianism and the war in Ukraine, campaigns to support civic activists and democratic politicians, and conferences. The latest of these was a conference on Russian censorship.
“Our goal is to promote democracy in Russia by providing information support to the Russian civil society. We strive to disseminate objective information about the political situation in the country: the state of political institutions, civil liberties and human rights. „Russie-Libertés” is fighting against the war in Ukraine. We support anti-war movements in Russia, we promote the idea of a boycott of Kremlin’s gas and oil in Europe, we support Russian independent journalists and artists”.
